Erin Andrews signs on with Reebok’s ZigTech footwear and apparel

Today’s announcement from Reebok has Erin Andrews fans saying, “GREAT CHOICE.”

The big news is that popular ESPN  sports broadcaster, Good Morning America correspondent and Dancing With the Stars tenth season finalist Erin Andrews has become the first female featured in Reebok’s ZigTech campaign.  And if you like the ads, the Reebok folks say surely you’ll love the apparel and footwear – which news flash! – will be available at Lady Foot Locker stores including Valley Fair Mall and the five other Lady Foot Locker locations in and around San Jose.  The shoes are already on the market, the apparel will be coming in March.  They are also available at

The photos for Andrews ads were shot yesterday in Los Angeles and as you’ll see in the photos attached to this article,  she looks fabulous.  The campaign will kick off this March.

Andrews was quite humble in her quote, considering she’s a bona fide celebrity in her own right.  “I’m very excited to be the first female to become part of Reebok’s ZigTech campaign, joining superstars like Peyton Manning, Sidney Crosby, John Wall, Chad Ochocinco, and many more,” said Andrews.  “I have been athletic all my life, and I’m thrilled to be working out in the same footwear and apparel that helps these athletes perform at the top of their game.”

Straight from the Reebok PR, here is the 4-1-1 about the shoes and apparel.  “Currently at retail, Reebok’s ZigTech footwear allows your key leg muscles to do less, so you can do more.  Simply put, it’s like an energy drink for your feet.  ZigTech utilizes a unique zig-zag geometry designed to deliver energy transfer more efficiently along the length of the shoe, resulting in enhanced feel and comfort. The increased energy return may also help reduce the chance of shin splints.

“Debuting in March 2011, Reebok’s ZigTech apparel utilizes Celliant ™ fibers woven into the apparel to increase oxygen levels in the body.  This increased oxygen helps give the athletes more energy for sport and life.”

I can’t give a personal recommendation, but I’m paying a lot more attention to shoes and clothing this year, as I realize the small improvements that the right clothing makes to a workout.   Let me know in the comments section if you’ve tried the shoes.
