5 New Innovative Infrared Wellness Applications

Over the years as we’ve introduced people to CELLIANT, their first impression is often something along the lines of: “I knew about infrared saunas, but I had no idea that infrared wellness could be applied to textiles.”

As it turns out, Team CELLIANT are not the only ones utilizing this ancient healing modality to achieve modern wellness wisdom. As infrared becomes increasingly mainstream, a host of innovators have harnessed the power of infrared light therapy in new and unique ways. Today we share five new innovative infrared wellness applications to keep an eye on.

1. Whole‑Body Photobiomodulation Beds
(e.g. TheraLight 360i)

One trend we noticed at the 2025 Dave Asprey Biohacking Conference was the combination of multiple healing modalities or wellness technologies into one streamlined use case. Since not all wellness tools consist of passive wellness like CELLIANT, it can be difficult to find the time to achieve them all in the same day – unless, you are combining several (like habit-stacking for devices).

Enter whole-body photobiomodulation beds such as TheraLight 360i.  These next-gen therapy systems integrate red light therapy and near-infrared light (PBM) with PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields) and Acoustic Resonance Therapy in one synchronized protocol. The TheraLight 360i offers full-body light exposure through tens of thousands of LEDs, combined with PEMF and sound vibration to boost cellular energy, circulation, and autonomic balance—supporting vitality, recovery, mood, and longevity.

2. Infrared‑Enhanced Percussive Massage Devices

As wearable technology and massage devices reach their next phase of evolution, devices like Theragun PRO+ combine near-infrared LED light with heat and percussive therapy to enhance muscle recovery in a more significant way than through use of just percussion alone. Therabody’s research appears to indicate that this combination accelerates tissue repair and reduces fatigue markers more effectively than vibration or heat alone.

3. Portable, Targeted IR Wearables

Innovative gadgets—such as Joovv FlexBeam wraps, handheld wands, and masks—deliver localized red and near-infrared light directly to joints, muscles, or facial skin. Some devices even blend in blue light (for acne) or Bluetooth‑connected tracking, allowing visibility and integration into daily routines. While we love these portable, targeted wearable IR devices, remember that CELLIANT delivers the benefits of light therapy woven directly within the fabric of garments, bedding, furniture and more – no device needed!

4. Infrared-Integrated Fitness Equipment
(e.g. InfraStar Bike)

Step aside, Peleton. There’s a hot new exercise bike on the scene, delivering infrared wellness in the form of IR-integrated fitness equipment. The InfraStar “infrared bike” combines low-gravity vacuum resistance cycling with infrared heat to enhance circulation, lymph flow, and caloric burn. The InfraStar Bike reportedly enables users to burn up to 1,500 calories in a session, while infrared supports vascular function and cellulite reduction. Several IR treadmill companies have also cropped up on the scene, offering next-level infrared exercise opportunities.

5. In‑Ear Infrared Heating Wearables (Heatables)

A novel new wearable concept utilizing infrared wellness is Heatables, small devices worn in the ear that emit near- and mid-infrared light to elevate thermal comfort and cognitive function in chilly environments. Clinical testing showed subjects felt about 1.5 °C warmer overall, improving comfort and mental clarity—even though the device targets only the ear.

Looking Ahead

These five new infrared wellness applications illustrate how infrared is becoming a quiet powerhouse across modalities—working whenever embedded in devices that tap into natural, passive energy delivery. Combined with movement, rest, or light therapy, these innovations offer wellness experiences that are both scientifically grounded and user-friendly.

Cleary, infrared-powered wellness is evolving fast: whole-body beds, recovery devices, wearable wearables, and even bikes and headphones are harnessing infrared to boost healing, circulation, sleep, comfort, and performance. In effect, infrared extends well beyond fabric or sauna—it’s becoming ambient, adaptive, and integrated into wellness itself.
