HOW DO CELLIANT BIOCERAMICS WORK?

The bioceramics found in CELLIANT fabrics consist of a proprietary blend of thermo-reactive minerals that undergo the following process:
  • ground into a superfine powder
  • added to polymer substrates, when fabrics are still in their liquid form
  • extruded, spun into fibers and yarns, and woven into what we call bio-responsive fabrics
These bio-responsive textiles interact with the biological system of the wearer by capturing their body heat and converting it into infrared energy. That infrared energy is returned to the body, increasing local circulation and cell oxygenation. The KT Tape team was seeking different product innovations they could add to their line-up of kinesio-tape when they happened to come across CELLIANT’s infrared bioceramic technology and reached out to learn more.
Following discussions between the two teams, CELLIANT was the catalyst for KT Tape to restructure their product collection hierarchy, adding CELLIANT-infused Pro Oxygen tape as their new premium, top-of-line price point, and increasing their price for all products as a result as they made room for infrared kinesiology tape in their line-up. While some brands may have been hesitant to increase their pricing, KT Tape was effectively able to communicate to their customers the technological and physiological enhancements of this new product, so there  was no objection to raising costs. The reception for the KT Tape CELLIANT partnership and products has exceeded expectations and is the perfect example of how an ideal partnership between the ingredient brand and host/partner brand should look.  
The partnership was also ideal for CELLIANT to test new methods of applications for our bioceramics. While often our minerals are embedded directly into fibers, yarns and fabrics, in the case of KT Tape, we were actually able to explore a printing method by which the mineral powder was applied directly to the surface of the tape. CELLIANT bioceramic print configurations allow for maximum powder concentration and direct contact with the skin. This can speed the ability by which CELLIANT’s clinically demonstrated benefits may occur.
