Functional Fabric Fair New York is slated to take place July 16th from 9am to 6pm and July 17th from 9am to 5pm, hosted at the esteemed Jacob Javits Convention Center at 429 11th Ave, New York, NY 10001. Attendance at the fair is complimentary for verified designers, product managers, procurement specialists, sustainability leaders, and other industry professionals.
Building on the success of the Portland Spring event, we are thrilled to announce CELLIANT’s participation in this year’s New York summer edition, marking our fifth consecutive presence at Functional Fabric Fair. Past editions have drawn notable attendees from esteemed brands in the athleisure and outdoor sports sectors, including Calvin Klein, Victoria’s Secret, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. Additionally, past exhibitors such as Burlington, DuraFlex, and Cocona 37.5 Technology have contributed to the event’s rich tapestry of innovation and industry leadership.
In July’s Functional Fabric Fair, CELLIANT, Hologenix’s flagship technology, asserts its prominent position as a leading influencer within the textile industry. The Focus Topic for this year, “Beyond Bottles,” underscores the critical need for alternatives to PET recycling, especially in light of impending legal regulations and the principles of the circular economy. With a diverse array of polyester types, concerns regarding micro-plastics, and the growing urgency to shift away from PET towards alternative raw materials, the industry is confronting significant challenges. Potential solutions may entail bolstering textile-to-textile recycling efforts, exploring polyester alternatives derived from food waste, and expanding the utilization of natural fibers.
In 2021, in partnership with Kelheim Fibres, we introduced an innovative solution known as CELLIANT Viscose. This groundbreaking product represents the first sustainable viscose infrared (IR) solution embedded within the fiber itself, catering to brand partners seeking eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic materials. CELLIANT Viscose seamlessly integrates with cotton, micromodal, Lyocell, various wool types (including cashmere), and other fibers, making it perfect for a wide range of applications including performance wear, luxury loungewear, casual attire, and bedding.

This distinction not only underscores their commitment to ethical raw material sourcing but also establishes them as a comprehensive sustainability standard for producers of viscose fibers – solidifying their position as an ideal partner. CELLIANT Viscose provides an answer to Functional Fabric Fair’s “Beyond Bottles,” offering a trusted natural fiber solution.
