CELLIANT® with REPREVE® has just become our most awarded carrier type with its recognition in the Spring Summer 2025 ISPO Textrends Awards in the Accelerated Eco category. We’re humbled by this new recognition as we continuously research and develop our sustainable carriers for CELLIANT. Our partnership with REPREVE marries CELLIANT infrared technology with REPREVE’s rPET sustainable fibers made from recycled plastic bottles and pre-consumer waste in a new solution that is better for people, and better for the earth. 

ABOUT THE ISPO TEXTRENDS AWARDS

ISPO believes that innovation in materials is worthy of being recognized on an international stage, so they created the ISPO Textrends Awards. Twice a year, they recognize forward-thinking participants for their fibers, fabrics and component materials particularly as it relates to the sports and outdoor industry. The awards bring together professionals across the categories of designers, product managers, suppliers and more. To give you an idea of its scope within the industry, to date, 4,980 products have been awarded across 1,350 different brands, as determined by 130 industry jury experts who assess the merit of each submission. The awards are spaced across a variety of categories, including base layer, second layer, outer layer, performing finishes, membranes and coatings, street sports, soft equipment, accessories, fibers and insulations, trims and accelerated eco, which is the category that CELLIANT with REPREVE received a Top Five award in for this season.

WHAT DOES ACCELERATED ECO MEAN?

As defined by ISPO, the Accelerated Eco category is for products setting a new standard in terms of sustainability: innovative performance yarns that require reduced heat for settability, heightened efficiency in terms of water and energy savings, a reduction of waste and reduced or optimized processes throughout the textile chain.

This fits well with our inspiration and onus for which we developed our partnership with UNIFI and REPREVE, as we hope to accelerate the eco options for our own brand partners and provide a best-in-class alternative to virgin polyester with our recycled polyester product. We’re honored to have been selected as one of the standard-setters in sustainability.

CELLIANT with REPREVE has now been recognized 3 times, making it our most awarded carrier type. CELLIANT with REPREVE has won its second consecutive ISPO award in two different categories and a Draper’s Sustainability award.

OUTDOOR BY ISPO 2023

The OutDoor by ISPO 2023 event is happening June 4-6, at the MOC–Event Center Messe München, Germany, where CELLIANT with REPREVE will be officially announced and displayed as a Top Five winner in the Accelerator Eco category. Outdoor by ISPO is always an exciting trade show that features future-oriented brands, new trends and innovations, and the exchange of ideas on ecological and social responsibility.
