This seasons Functional Fabric Fair is focused on outdoor and active apparel and is based on the following themes:

These topics align well with what CELLIANT stands behind and we are very excited to showcase this to future brand partners. Let’s take a deeper look into the above themes as they pertain to CELLIANT.

The CELLIANT brand was built around an ethos of product innovation. We are committed to constantly innovating new applications to CELLIANT’s core formulas. Last year, CELLIANT entered a strategic partnership with UNIFI®, a global leader in textile solutions, to introduce groundbreaking infrared technology into REPREVE®. This partnership started with recycled polyester, dubbing the product CELLIANT with REPREVE Polyester. REPREVE stands as the foremost trusted performance fiber brand, renowned for its commitment to sustainability by repurposing recycled materials, specifically plastic bottles and fiber waste, into premium fibers and yarn.

Recognizing the pressing need for more sustainable textile options and acknowledging the equivalent attributes of recycled nylon to recycled polyester, CELLIANT and REPREVE have advanced their collaboration, introducing recycled nylon into their product lineup. This innovative offering, known as CELLIANT with REPREVE Nylon, boasts a unique fusion of recycled fibers from REPREVE with the superior qualities of CELLIANT infrared technology

Prior innovations include CELLIANT Print and our ISPO Textrends award-winnining innovations of pure white CELLIANT and CELLIANT Viscose.

When it comes to any innovation that is moving towards improving health, wellness and performance, there is nothing that we enjoy more. The opportunity to build passive benefits into the clothes we wear is endless — especially in the outdoor and active wear space, where people need it most

This season’s Functional Fabric Fair Portland will house a ‘functional footwear’ area which will consist of several footwear brands specific to the outdoor industry and a Footwear Forum where industry professionals will host talks on the topic. While CELLIANT will not be speaking at the Footwear Forum, CELLIANT powered products do have the ability to capture heat from your feet and convert it into infrared energy, helping improve endurance and keep your feet at the right temperature. With footwear and IR at top of mind, CELLIANT has a partnered with brands such as Oxeego for their technical socks and Tecnica for their ski boots. In partnership with Decathlon, our most recent product line consists of an IR compression Wedze sock. Ultimately, we see a lot of room in the marketplace to embed IR into various footwear options. That said, we are looking forward to having conversations with potential partners in the functional footwear space.

In April of 2022, in an effort to provide full transparency to the eco consumer and brand partners, Functional Fabric Fair began putting a spotlight on CO2 reducing innovations within brands. As of November 2022, Functional Fabric Fair has officially been able to indicate the CO2 emissions for each product within their Focus Topic Category, called “The Journey to Carbon Neutrality”. This marks a huge step forward for the textile industry at large as it pertains to sustainability. CELLIANT is excited to participate in these conversations at the Functional Fabric Fair Portland
